Did You Know That Everything is Energy?

I just recently decided to invest in myself.  I know that over the last few years, I have begun a quantum leap in my life.  AND, I feel as though it is almost complete.

So, what do I mean by that?

I know that at certain times in your life it is necessary to receive help to make a leap to the next level.  It could be emotionally, physically, spiritually, or even financially.  All successful, balanced people have coaches and mentors.  So, I decided that I needed a mentor to help me complete MY quantum leap.

I have begun studying with Kristin and David Morelli.  AND I am SO EXCITED to be in their 40 Days and 40 Nights Program.  The basis of their teaching is that EVERYTHING IS ENERGY.

Ok, so what is energy?

Energy is life-force.  It is a vibration.  It is something that can be felt.  And everything is energy.

It’s a new concept to a lot of people, but every person and object is made up of energy.  We all have a vibration.  And whatever level you are vibrating at is the level at which you create your life.

WHAT?  Here’s a practical example:

When you are in a place of fear, about a relationship, money, or career, you are vibrating at a lower level.  You have a feeling underneath any action you take to remedy the situation.  Until you are able to change the energy and change the feeling, the situation won’t get better.  It will appear that your actions aren’t working.

This is why it seems like you just can’t catch a break.  Your energy is actually keeping you stuck.

Two of my favorite tools for shifting energy are guided imagery and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique).  I have witnessed first hand the power of both.  Once you release the energy blocks, you are able to EASILY create the life of your dreams.  You will no longer have the fears and beliefs holding you back.

I hope my willingness to invest in myself and in my dreams, inspires you to do the same.  Let’s create our dream lives together.

Limiting Beliefs: How Are They Ruining Your Life?

What exactly is a limiting belief?

A limiting belief is a negative thought or feeling about you and what you are capable of accomplishing.

Everyone has an endless tape of “self-talk” running through their head.  I’m sure you know what I mean.  This tape is the narrator of your life.  It is constantly commenting on everything that you and everyone else are doing.

The problem is that your internal commentator isn’t really all that nice.  He seems to find fault often and is constantly judging you.

How often do you think or feel the following?

  • Boy, that was stupid.
  • I didn’t do that good enough.
  • No wonder nobody loves me.
  • I’ll never get that job.
  • I’m not smart enough.
  • I look fat or ugly.
  • Ugh, what was I thinking?

All of these thoughts and feelings are ruining your life.  The beliefs you carry determine how successful you will be in love, money, and in life.

Many limiting beliefs keep you “stuck”.  You are scared to try, to put yourself out in the world, or to meet new people.  Limiting beliefs keep you in terrible relationships and jobs that you don’t like.

The important thing to remember is that these thoughts and feelings can be changed.  Once you know that you have them, you can choose to believe something else.  You can choose to believe the truth.

The truth is that you are smart, beautiful, and perfect just the way you are.  I am very confident in telling you this.  Do you want to know why?

I know it’s true because God doesn’t make mistakes.

5 Ways to Lift Your Mood

Do you ever just wake up in the morning in a BAD mood?

Or maybe you stub your toe, spill your coffee, or burn your toast.  Doesn’t it seem that once one thing goes wrong, the whole day goes down hill?

The truth is that the reason the rest of the day goes wrong, is because of your bad mood.

In other words, when you become angry about something that happens, you spend time focusing on it.  And where attention goes, energy flows.

This energy attracts other bad experiences.  That’s why it’s so important to change your mood, ASAP!

5 Ways to Lift Your Mood

  1. Listen to music.  Now, I don’t mean the sappy music that always makes you cry.  I mean something upbeat and happy.  Music that makes your toes tap.
  2. Laugh.  Laughter really is the BEST medicine because the easiest way to turn that frown upside down is by laughing.  Watch a sitcom, rent a movie.  Just remember to laugh out loud.
  3. Have a GO-TO memory.  Think back over the years.  What was a really good moment, something that always puts a smile on your face and a warm feeling in your heart?  Learn to “flip out” of your bad mood by learning to “flip into” this sweet memory.
  4. Spend time with your pet.  Is there anyone in your life that gives you more unconditional love than your pet?  If you have a pet, you know the healing effect an animal can have on you.
  5. Call a friend.  Now, you need to be careful with this one.  You should have a good-time friend, someone that’s fun and makes you feel good.  This is the friend to call.  You aren’t calling to complain, you’re calling to hear all of the wonderful and fun stories she has to share.  Soon, you’ll be looking up.

When you change your mood, your vibrational energy changes to positive.  Soon you’ll be seeing the silver lining and things won’t seem so bad.

Michael J Fox - The Incurable Optimist

Lately Michael J Fox has been all over the media.  He has a new book coming out called, “Always Looking Up”.

I watched him on a few different shows this week.  I must admit, I had such a crush on him when I was young.  And now, I think he is such an inspiration to so many people.

He has been struggling with Parkinson’s Disease for 18 years.  The disease hasn’t stopped him or brought him down.  His life is full of love, laughter, friends, and family.

I was very impressed by his attitude.  Some of his views on life were very deep and reflective.

  • For everything that Parkinson’s took from his life, it gave him so much more.
  • He is the luckiest man in the world — he has a beautiful wife and wonderful children.
  • If he wouldn’t have gotten sick, he doesn’t think that he would have the same views on family and life as he does now.
  • He says there is nothing more important than what his children have to tell or show him.  He will always get up to follow them.
  • He had to give up film and TV acting, but Parkinson’s took him in a new direction.  He became an activist, an author, and he gets to travel.

I think that you and I could learn many lessons from Michael J Fox.  He lives his life “in the moment”, appreciating each moment he shares with his family.  He is filled with gratitude and love.

You never know where life will lead you.  It is only your job to go with the flow.  You need to pick yourself up, brush yourself off, and continue on this journey called life.

Clay Walker’s Wake-Up Call

This morning country singer Clay Walker was on The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet.  He was talking about the day he received the biggest wake-up call of his life.

Eleven years ago, he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.  The doctors told him that he was going to die.  Today, watching him, you would never even know that he had an illness.

He told Mike and Juliet, the hosts, that this illness caused him to re-evaluate his entire life.  When he was first diagnosed, he wasn’t happy.  His life wasn’t in balance.

Today, he credits his health with healing his body, mind, and spirit.  He takes the time to do things he loves.  He spends more time with his family.  He makes a conscious effort to live a more balanced life.

What’s Your Wake-Up Call?

Seeing him on the show this morning really got me thinking.  How many times do you refuse to change part of your life until something bad happens?  It could be an illness, divorce, or getting hurt on the job.  Each one of these things forces you to change direction in your life.

The tricky part is recognizing that it is God’s intervention.  So many times you refuse to make the change on your own.  If that is the case, God steps in and throws you a complete curve ball.  This curve ball forces the change on you.

How Do You Handle the Change?

When a serious life-altering event is taking place in your life, how do you deal with it?  It’s very easy to fall straight into the victim role.  It’s easy to feel sorry for yourself and think that the world is ending.

The truth is, that the world is ending as you know it.  BUT it’s not ending completely.  Now is the time to take inventory of your life.  What is working and what isn’t?

It’s time to do a lot of internal housekeeping.  What needs to change?  What can you let go of that is no longer serving you?  What emotions, pain, anger, or guilt do you need to release?

It’s time to start over with a clean slate.  It’s time to get back to who you are and who you want to be.  It’s time to thank God for this blessing.  It’s time to find the silver-lining.
